Shin Godzilla 2016
I watched this movie with english subs done by a spanish speaking person that were weirdly translated. Some times the translation was word for word, others were done without the appropriate syntactic structure. So most sentences didn't make perfect sense and a few had spanish words mixed in.
I think the issue with the subs somehow made the experience more exciting because most of the movie was bureaucracy galore. Don't get me wrong I love me some regulations and protocols…

Godzilla × Kong: The New Empire 2024
First of all this is a Kong movie with Godzilla in it. I guess Godzilla™ just sells better.
Secondly movie could work as well if not better, if there were no humans involved.Monkey is really expressive so the plot around him is clear without the (human) exposition. The Godziller plot benefited the most from the humans explaining their motivations. He's just a big cat that feeds on radiation, cat owners understand it.
I believe it could have been done without the narration, just big CGI monsters farming exp. and doing their little side-quests to get equips and power-ups before the boss battle.
