    watched for a class on ethics in research. i have v v mixed feelings ab this one, i think that the story is incredibly compelling and one that’s worth telling, but i can’t help but feel that the film makers were somewhat ingenuine in their retelling. they neither explored the reasons why the study was carried out in the first place nor discussed too deeply how the siblings were affected by the separation and subsequent reunion beyond a few brief anecdotes. it all felt kinda surface level i think there was a better way to do it

    this is amazing this is why i love movies!!! i love people so so much and i feel that film as a medium is an unparalleled representation of the beauty that is personhood and this film is an excellent piece of evidence for that!
