i watched this one some time last year and completely forgot to log it the next day because it was for the most part pretty mid.
then all the trumpies started flipping shit about how the movie was a prophecy? and honestly yeah that made me realize how corny some of the more bizarre scenes wereπ
This movie was SO CLOSE to perfect for me, and weirdly enough is even on my Movies that Made me Cry list now, because Caesar appearing in the tree brought tears to my eyes.Β
That being said, a few small things really bothered me about this movie. First, Caesar all of a sudden having almost flawless speech patterns after basically speaking 2 words at a time in the last movie kind of took me out, especially considering none of theβ¦
koba being straight up one of the biggest damn haters in cinematic history, you kinda gotta respect it. caesar on top tho! caesar superiority!π£οΈ
this movie starts off SO. SLOW. but as it goes on, you start to realize just how perfect it sets up the rest of the movie. sure, there's some things I may have changed personally, but overall this movie goes incredibly hard.Β
"you are not ape" perfectly encapsulates the rising arc of this movie, and solidifies caesar as one of the best protagonists of all time, able to learn from and adapt blind-spots in character and ego.
