Cheap.
This movie is cheap. There’s nothing wrong with cheap but this ain’t it. Omari deserves better and so does Loretta Devine. The acting from these two, John Beasley, & Tumisho Masha save this film from being a true tragedy of errors. There are moments of true horror, such as when Omari drives the nail back into his foot or Loretta performing rituals. No one is likable! It seems this film desperately wants to give you a reason to like Rosemund Pike (she’s a woman in an oppressive system that just wants her piece of the pie)! Yes we love that, but she’s also destroying other women and people along the way. And not just any people, she’s preying on some of the most defenses people in society, the elderly.
