Loved it actually! Is it anything brand new never been done before? Not quite, but it is SUCH a thrill. It was cool seeing Malkovich in this setting!!! Love seeing so much action from Ayo, although, as a (casual) fan, I’m eager for the day we see her play a different character on a big platform! Having seen Bottoms and The Bear recently: I’m itching to see her stretch her legs outside of the “anxious confused-ish young-adult smarter-than-she-looks” archetype. No shade though I loved it!! Would definitely watch again, full of a lot of enjoyable twists!

The use of slow-motion in this movie cannot go unrecognized or under-appreciated. So thoughtfully placed and really did numbers in adding to the beauty of this film. The slow-mo when we see Eugene the first few times, in the jungle when the doctor throws him the branch, slow-mo during the "trip" just yes yes yes. 3rd watch.
