  wasn’t really wowed by it but, giving it the benefit of a doubt, it was probably better than a 3.5

  gore and body horror shit doesn’t bother me but i cannot fucking do needles man. so i spent a lot of the middle of this movie with my eyes covered/closed

   i liked how campy and how over the top it was, along with its exaggerated and uncanny representations of reality. great great use of wide angle lenses to make spaces feel really stark and austere, and to distort the normal into something disgusting (or the disgusting into the repulsive)

  a little too long imo. i’m not gonna complain about margaret qualley’s ass but there sure were a lot of shots of it. just felt repetitive

  most adhd movie ever
  almost every scene was less than 3 minutes long—the few that were longer were the only good ones

  the music too, it tries to incorporate themes from the games, but they always feel forced and never fit with the scene, and whoever arranged them did a shit job of fitting them in

  i really liked everything at the beginning in brooklyn, very endearing, very fun, but then it took a nosedive

  this is one of the most visually risky movies a major studio has ever produced, and it fucking pays off. every frame is a stunning collage of watercolors and glitch effects and comic book art, and something like this has certainly never been done at this scale before. there were unfortunately a few times that the 3d models looked…
