It's a Wonderful Life 1946
This movie was amazing. Definitely better than I expected, and I truly believe it to be the best Christmas movie, maybe only second to A Christmas Story. Amazing performances, a brilliant story, an intriguing villain in Mr. Potter, and a flawed protagonist in George Bailey provide for a full circle movie with a very fulfilling ending.

This movie was super good, and really suspenseful. The slow but sure downfall of Lou Bloom was terrifying, and I just knew something bad would happen to Rick. The music really added to the dread, and the overall tone was dark and sinister, matching the theme of nights of crime in LA. It seemed too similar to Taxi Driver, but differentiated from it enough. It was also better because it had a more straightforward and purposeful plot. My only issue was a slightly anticlimactic finish. Amazing chase scene was so cool.
