  Malcolm X’s ideology taken as absolute historical truth for 3 1/2 hours. An epic of the 20th century struggle for radical African-American movements, the conditions in which they arose, and why they thrived. Denzel Washington absolutely sells why he was such a charismatic figure and the narrative sells the various reasons his message was so resonant. The scenes in the prison where Malcolm joins the Nation of Islam are haunting & true. It’s absolute must watch cinema for every American.
