Standard take on the hero origin story. However, the movie's enthusiastic embrace of Latino culture provided a much needed fresh breath to a genre that has struggled to launch new characters in recent years. The director unapologetically weaves in spanish jokes, Latino pop culture, and emotional payoffs done in spanish that it feels unique to other hero films. Given the circumstances surrounding the movie's release its possible that it could have generated greater buzz w/ more marketing and promotion.
I think the All Valley tournament is a lock for Xolo.
Ethan Hunt should teach Anthony Davis how to fall. This man is indestructible.

First Wes Anderson film, yet I came in with a certain awareness of his crafted art style. Whether it's mockery or admiration, or a bit of both, Wes' style has permeated popular culture.
The movie is dense with historical, literary, and cultural references. Something I am coming to learn about him. As my entry point to the Anderson library my experience was tethered not unlike Ricky's jetpack. However, this didnt prevent me from enjoying the quirky story unfold.…
