it doesn't promise more than what you see, hear or experience. that's why it's static. because life is generally static. it doesn't matter what you're busy with. the existence of jobs or people that tire you, upset you, maybe excite you, keeps you alive up to a point. then everything and everyone starts to become ordinary. that's why nothing really happens in the movie. because there's nothing we haven't seen or heard before.
