  a man who gave them the power to destroy themselves 

  my brain had not been this stimulated in a LONG LONG time. i am so grateful for this movie in general but i’m specifically moved by cillian murphy’s ability to portrait disturbed men SO WELL, to empty those piercing eyes and just make you feel what oppenheimer was going through in a “i feel like someone put the weight of that bomb on my chest” way.

  i’ve been living abroad for a couple of months and in the middle of watching this movie i had the realisation that i was in a room full of women from a different country where we were all laughing and crying together, and that touched me, because we all really go through the same struggles and we all love the same stuff. i am exactly like every other girl and i love that, thank you greta gerwig for reminding me.
