As others have said, Robert Pattinson blew me away with just how deeply he embodied the two different Mickeys. I don’t know what goes on in Bong Joon-Ho’s mind that Robert Pattinson was his very first choice for someone to play dual roles, but I trust his creative mind always and he has never betrayed that trust. this was an insane ride jesus. sometimes the dialogue and/or acting and/or direction felt a bit stilted, but it honestly didn’t suffer hugely for it. beautiful shots and super interesting use of vhs aesthetics that weren’t superfluous at all. completely batshit premise that was written by wrestling freaks for wrestling freaks and i mean that in the best way possible, i had a fantastic time.
extremely pumped to see the upcoming wrestling shenanigans in town soon.
