A far too long examination of a woman who is unable to escape her abuser. It’s wild to me that this is being hailed as a love triangle, or an exploration of desire, since I really felt like I was being hit over the head with the trauma and grooming metaphor. The potential bridge between the two isn’t even worth exploring.

The point of this movie is that it’s better to grow up in homes with violence and murder amongst parents than with a disability????
