My favorite movie at the moment. There’s so much that I could say about this movie but I’ll try to keep it short. It shows the illusion of the American dream through the way of the massive drug trade at the time, and the eventual, inevitable downfall of it all. Al Pacino gives the performance of a lifetime, it really gives the illusion that he IS the character that he plays, and eventually makes me feel empathy for a character who, for the most part, is a very evil man, and it’s a shame he didn’t win a Grammy for his work.
