  It's been a while since a Vinegar Syndrome release has genuinely surprised/exceeded my expectations. Be it the poster, description, or maybe just slasher movie fatigue, I didn't have very high expectations for The Carpenter.

  Wings passing away this week bumped this up on my watchlist and I've gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this. It's weird and charming and the old fixer upper house setting works really well. If it had a more satisfying conclusion I'd probably rate it even higher.
