  I never liked submarine movies as a kid (claustrophobia?) but after watching Hunt for Red October last year and now Crimson Tide, I think I love submarine movies? Or maybe I just like taut action films that rely more on tense dialogue and steely glares than explosions (we still get explosions). Hackman against Washington is a great pair. 

  RIP Gene Hackman. You were the best to do it.

  No, thank you. Turns out ugly, cgi mush musicals aren’t my thing. I stopped paying attention about 5 mins in while my wife watched. We got 2 hrs in before we called it quits; why is it so long? Honestly, I can’t believe it’s up for best picture, but that’s what happens when you have to fill 10 slots.

  Super cute! Got to see a sneak peek before it came out, which I was shocked when I saw it was playing at Regal for one showing. Love the animation and direction, it’s dynamic and fun without being as overwhelming as Spiderverse (which I also love). Great voice cast, and having actual kids voice the turtles works so well (especially Donnie). Let’s hope they can get a sequel in before the kids’ voices change. The pace is also super breezy,…
