Offensive and disturbing and upsetting and fucked up. And hilarious and sad and disturbing and offensive and fucked up. I simultaneously loved it and hated it. Just when I think I can dismiss Von Trier he reminds me he is one of the best. The old camcorder footage is gorgeous as well.

Soderbergh is still one of the very few main stream directors willing to noticeably and ostentatiously play with form. Him and Danny Boyle maybe? The last 2 minutes was exactly like a nightmare I've had many times and scared the hell out of me. I even teared up a little.
