This film shows the incongruence of trying to maintain the idea of Empire and the economic decadence + the desire of freedom of young people. A little scary but true.

Lawrence of Arabia 1962
I think this film is one of the paramounts of the traditional (and analogical) cinema. No computers, no AI, just good locations, good actors and good direction. And it elucidates all the insoluble problems that English and French created to Middle East.
