On an Oz kick what can I say (and I ain’t talkin hbo). This movie isn’t as funny or inventive as the Muppets’ best stuff but it’s a lot of fun to watch them in New York City in the 80s. Love how the photography and direction just shoots them like they’re real. Added treats include the sight of Ernie and Bert in suits, and all time top 3 baddie Jenny as portrayed by Juliana Donald (who, per Wikipedia, was a regular voice actress for Streamline dubs… WOW).

Not only the first full length fully-animated Looney Tunes movie, but also the first Looney Tunes project to be watched by 0 children. Thank you to Ketchup for your wonderful work here. Would love 1000 Looney Tune features in the Looney Tunes Cartoons style.

I spent a not-insignificant portion of my childhood renting just whatever "for kids" videos from the library, just anything with a puppet or that even seemed like…

Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story

Very much "my kind of thing" for about 80 minutes of its runtime. A modestly-aimed, kind of hackily-done documentary about The Ren & Stimpy Show, a show I've been obsessed with for most of my life, and despite some cliched filmmaking and interviews with Bobby Lee (who fucking cares??) I was enjoying it. It seemed very much like the kind of typical indiegogo-funded geek-friendly documentary, but one about something I'm personally passionate about so I could vibe with it. It's a…
