The twist at the end threw me for a loop I didn’t see that coming. I absolutely adored it, the pacing was perfect, and I got lost in the fake story they portrayed. Has to be one of my favorite movies now.

Genuinely I cried like a fucking baby. Over the course of this movie, you get to slowly know the relationship between these two people, one of them ordinary and the other extraordinary. But together they have such a beautiful relationship, with highs, and lows. You can tell Almut loves her family, and wanted to be remembered. Neither character was perfect, and that made it better. I think this was an amazing movie that provided a beautiful picture into the past. The aftermath of WW2 is often overshadowed by the war itself, and the little things like this get shoved under the rug. I really enjoyed learning about this, as well as the manhattan project itself. You felt like you are at los Alamos when the bomb was dropped, and I can’t believe no CGI was used!
