God this hit me hard. As a neurodivergent person who's struggled with anxiety and depression, I've had a lot of issues with mental health, especially self worth and masking emotions. This show, despite it's apocalyptic setting, explores those themes perfectly. It doesn't shy away from these heavy themes, which I think is what made it so relatable to me. I've felt exactly like Carol and I've gone through almost the exact experiences, minus the obvious impending destruction of the earth.…
