I checked this out cuz of the one scene where John Candy gets captured by the Communists. But after almost an hour of pretty brainless Gen X/South Park-style "ha ha we don't have an actual *opinion*, we're just here to lampoon everyone" chicanery, I got bored and threw in the towel.

Best reason to watch it is to watch Tom Hanks when he was allowed to play someone besides Tom Hanks.

Well. That was an interesting introduction to Agnés Varda. Not sure I would've picked this one to start with if I'd read beyond the title. But, fuck it, great movie.
