Now I haven’t seen many of Disney’s ‘classic’ animations, but of what I have seen, this is planets apart.

As much as the story felt quite quick and snappy compared to the 2 hour+ movies we’re now accustomed to, it felt like such an original plot for a Disney animation to follow and had some great surprises along the way.

The beginnings of whimsical film - full of charm and wonderful characters that have clearly mapped the way for many in modern cinema. It is beyond wild to think that this was released when my grandparents were children…

Amazing - potentially the best anime movie I’ve watched. So so many films and series pull inspiration from this… and the animation is still fantastic to this day.
