  I miss some of Paul's development and the general world building from the books but considering how unadaptable it should be this movie rocks. I honestly love what they did with Chani, the juxtaposition between her and Stilgar is great. I would have been fine with them going even further with the changes but considering they're trying to adapt Messiah I can see why they might want to stick closer to the books. Though to be honest I'd be down for them to continue going a little off script with her in the next one if we get more of this.

  it's fun, I had way higher expectations for this though. I can't imagine not enjoying yourself while watching it just don't expect it to come together at the end, the parts are greater than the sum here. can't really get into more than that without spoiling it. loved all the characters though, maika monroe's lee is a great protagonist and it's also an incredibly funny movie which I really wasn't expecting.
