another hugely entertaining soderburgh. fizzles and shape-shifts like a gillian flynn adaptation. it ends up skewing its own moral compass, which unfortunately dulls the pharma-critique it flirts with and slips into some pretty #problematic tropes. (((has wes streeting seen this????)))

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 2011
A fitting and climactic finale. It hardly reinvents the wheel, but the scale feels right, the Snape pensieve scene is probably my favourite of the series, the wider emotional notes resonate and it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome (Peter Jackson take note…). Some of the dialogue’s a bit naff - Ron’s ‘that's my girlfriend, you numpties’ - stands out as a low point, but for the most part I really enjoyed, as I have with most of the series.
