Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978
The thing about jump scares is that usually, in the air of the thriller/horror you're watching, there is always an element of expectation. Watching a horror movie about possession and seeing the love interest of the mc suddenly get -surprise surprise- possessed, doesn't stick the landing quite as good. But there are times when a jump scare is so unexpected and out of place, that the image itself does not necessarily have to be scary for it to make you forget how to breathe.
