Watched because I love Anne Hathaway. Her performance was fine but the story was just so unrealistic and over the top that I found myself cringing for a good portion of the film. With talks of the resurgence of Rom-coms in the last year or so I had better expectations. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me.
Yup. This was everything I wanted from part 2. I experienced every emotion I could have while watching this film.
Highly recommend watching it in theaters before it goes away. It is one of the most breathtaking pieces of cinematography I have had the pleasure of watching and I think the theater environment was what I was missing while watching the first movie.
Bare with me for the long review, I am on a plane to Puerto Rico and have nothing better to do so I’m just jotting everything down in my Notes app! Oh, and don’t read this if you still haven’t watched the movie, there’s definitely spoilers ahead.
At the beginning of this movie I wanted so badly to watch the classic love story unfold. You know, two people reconnect after years and eventually fall in love. I wanted to see…
The most beautiful coming of age story I have ever watched. So powerful, relatable, and heart wrenching. Two lessons from the movie: you’re never alone with what you’re going through, and you do not have to live your life watching on the sidelines.
