  I wanted to adore this movie so badly after loving CMBYN, yet for some reason it just fell flat. Don't get me wrong, the cinematography, pacing and storytelling are perfect, Guadagnino's craftsmanship taking the spotlight throughout. However, the relationship between Lee and Maren (the basis of the entire movie, and the catalyst of the genre) felt so dry to me, somewhat lacking in any chemistry.   Tbh the opening scene was the best and nothing was ever as good. Always too much happening with dramatic swooping transition shots one after the other. I mean the acting was okay, especially the possession parts, but i still found it kinda cringe (just like in the Northman 🙈) Obviously stunning, and still a nice little tale!
