  i mean this film is just really fucking odd isnt it. you can tell the writers just decided to go a bit nuts with this one, and i think i can enjoy the film for that just in its own right. however im not too big a fan of the animation, and the religious references i found to be a bit overbearing at times, but enjoyable nonetheless. i think this film had potential to be really quite unfunny and tone deaf but it wasn’t, pretty enjoyabe

  this films walks the perfect tightrope between being easy and entertaining to follow whilst also not sacrificing any of the complex but dry subject matter it follows. im not sure a film of this subject matter could be done any differently. what amazes me most about the film is not only does it make very confusing subject matter entertaining, funny and interesting, it weaves in tragic and enthralling character archs without the watcher even really noticing, and never trivialises how just fucking awful the crisis was. its got fantastic performances, looks great, big fan of this one i wont lie.
