  Patrick Brice could direct Seven Sumarai but Akira Kurosawa could not direct the Creep films. I love these films so much, masterclasses in low budget horror. Respect the unnecessary 4 minute long penis shot.

  Didn’t love it - maybe seminal but I didn’t find the plot that intriguing or interesting. I don’t think I’m distressed t-shirts, brick lane beigels, roll up cigs, cartilage piercing, just moved to Dalston, “subscribe to my substack”, CSM enough to be able to appreciate films like this. I also found all of the laughing very annoying.

  There is a lot of grumpiness in this, which has moved from the screen and into me because I thought I would love this.

  Visually stunning and made me very sad. It’s time we gave men’s mental health a kick in the teeth! Recommend for fans of ice hockey and lovers of running through meadows.

  After sitting on this I am now re editing, I recommend to haters of the above as well and implore you to catch it whilst it’s still on iPlayer. What a film.

  Well it turns out I didn’t really understand this at all. Spiders as femininity? As dreams? Who knows. I still appreciated the drama on a surface level though, just what my smooth brain needed.
