A film about societal complacency is not what one would first think about when it comes to a musical, however Fosse’s work is the standard for musical films.

An amazingly crafted film. Everything went right here the cinematography, the dialogue, the amazing performances. Paul Mescal’s nomination for best actor is 1000% deserved, his screen time is limited but every second of his preformance is so beautifully reserved while still being able to display the full emotion of the character it’s amazing. The story is absolutely beautiful and even though the subject matter is heavy it delivers such a comfortable feeling. Every aspect of the film was perfectly done…

All That Jazz 1979
Many filmmakers chase the emotion of grandeur, to be able to make the audience feel the full emotion of a character especially in their final moments, this film does this and then some. Expertly handling almost every aspect of film, the characters and world are almost magical in the way it is presented and edited even though that world is just a seventies New York. Performances all around are excellent and although the film can seem overwhelming with the flashy editing and music numbers it flows like a dream.
