Bought this on blu ray thinking it was the 1996 David Cronenberg film of the same name - was extremely confused after about 20 minutes of this until I realised I bought the wrong film
Alright though
There is something so beautiful about this. The pub at the beginning (still looks similar to this day), the clothing, the gritty industrial London, the score, the theme, etc. On top of this the plot is very structured with a fair amount of detail and interest. I've seen this a few times (cheers dad) and I appreciate it more each time for the authenticity of Wilson-era London and how it revolutionised British TV to an era of shooting on film…
