Didn't entirely feel like a flowing coherent story like the the first film did, which may have to do with the fact that it was originally meant to be a series on Disney+.
The music also wasn't as memorable as in part one, I actually thought the songs used in the credits were the best.
It's still visually stunning and the performances were fun and energetic, but compared to the first film, I just didn't feel as invested in the story until the final sequence.

A rich and grand but also layered, nuanced and contained portrait of the gathering of the conclave in The Vatican for the election of a new Pope. It shows the inner workings of the election in a very interesting way that keeps you guessing and keeps you engaged by being quite thought provoking.
It can come on rather strong in terms of some sweeping statements, but in an otherwise positively restrained film, that may be what is needed in these times, especially when it concerns an organisation like the Catholic church.
There are very strong performances all around, Ralph Fiennes is great once again.

    A riot.

Tension filled and stylized crime film(with comedy but I wouldn't flat out consider it a comedy). There are excellent performances all around, it's atmospheric and entertaining, you could criticise it as style over substance, but there is subtext here.
