The Revenant 2015
Iñárritu's masterpiece. Incredible visuals really compliment the story. When filming, the crew tried to include as little CGI as possible, and it really shows. With regards to the story being portrayed, far-fetched but still brilliant. A father loses his son and is out for revenge, cliché but made more interesting with the conflictions about race as well as nationality.

Get Out as a whole is unique and well thought out, and confronts many issues about race and the social aspect of it. However, the film just seemed flat in a lot of ways. One way being that the film wasn't really a horror (which it is classified as). As the film is confronting racism, I felt it should have suggested something close to a solution or something. Instead it ends with 'the white racist slavers were baddies and are dead…
