Venom: The Last Dance 2024
Bit of a jumbled mess, with a few too many "who's that, what's going on" moments, and a very unnecessary dance sequence, but I still had a fun time. Tom Hardy is so damn charismatic, both as Eddie and as Venom, that it's hard not to have a good time when he's on screen.

Wicked 2024
Loved it. Absolutely loved it. I've read the books and watched the stage musical, and I regularly listen to the soundtrack, so I was already invested in enjoying the movie. After the disaster of the Into The Woods movie (my favourite musical) I was worried about how this film was going to come out. Nothing to worry about; great performances, beautiful costumes, amazing renditions of the songs that I love, and stunning set designs. I especially enjoyed Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba; what an incredible talent that woman is.

Memoir of a Snail 2024
Oof. On a cold rainy night, feeling sad, blue, alone, and old, the universe threw this film on to my path. Absolutely loved it, obviously very sad and touching, with a beautiful ending. Loved the characters, the music, and the metaphors. I'll definitely watch again, just might be a little way off.
