    Den of Thieves 2: Pantera

    ★★★

Den of Thieves takes from The Fast and the Furious a major rebrand: gone is the gritty, dirty cop bank robber motif to leave room for suave international men of intrigue vibes. However, Gerard Butler still keeps that junkie-sweaty-sleazy persona he has been channeling for the last few years and makes everything work; the movie becomes a funny "that's how the rest of the world see Americans nowadays" kind of thing while Ice Cube Jr. keeps face-palming.

She also creates a great balance with her male co-stars, which are also very good at creating the necessary contrast and tension.

As the film progresses, you keep wondering where this will end and what's the point,…
