  60 fps digital film cameras of 2002 made this gem of a horror look like a Kelly Rowland music video.
  
  Nonetheless Boyle expressed a fresh take on the overdone horror trope that at the time was innovative whilst imbuing his undeniable love and understanding for the UK.  Boyle asks the question to what extent can rage, desperation and survival alter the humanity within us all, infected or not.
