  let me get this straight: its a film composed of actors acting as working class watching the first motion picture which was also staged and not acted by real-life employees but by actors pretending to emulate the working conditions. 

  i just got introduced to kaurismaki but im pretty sure he had a bone to pick with the century-old pseudo proletariat film because he basically said that it is so superficial that only fictional employees working under unrealistic working conditions would rather tolerate the mockery of proletariat than escape reality even only for an hour on their own devices
