I jot some heavily nuanced verging on useless thoughts about movies that spark my memory of letterboxd.

Chazelle’s got the hottest camera dynamic in the game, and screw it, I’ll say it, he sucker punched me with a musical I actually... enjoyed, yes, enjoyed, not tolerated, or survived, but thoroughly enjoyed.

    ★★★★

    -Loved the acting and characterization
-Cinematography was good but feel it lacked a little bit of the dynamic of PTA’s other films - the movement in the camera or the frame and the long shots, and the visual literacy
-Feel there was a fragmented effect in the story that fit perfectly with the stoner 70’s vibe (almost as if a lot of the inbetween chunks of plot got forgotten and hazed out)
-Soundtrack was a lil dull compared to his other movies
-Definitely worth a second watch though to clarify everything up
