The Golden Bat 1966
The Golden Ninja is an Atlantian who returns from a mysterious sarcophagus covered in hieroglyphics with his bat companion and an obsession with justice. This cackling, cane wielding, lazer blasting, fighter dressed in a mythical cape, golden glitter body suit, and pledges his help and shows up when summoned to hit a beat down on alien invaders who'd wish to see earth destroyed by an asteroid called Icarus. Seemingly no relation to the mythical figure except sky.

She tells him: 'you're not like other men, you're shy, you respect women' and he lights a cigarette in his mouth on an oven burner. The protagonist has a dull eyed almost nihilistic demeanor that I think is well convinced. I liked when the kidnappers told the kid where they got everything for their outfits.
