Extremely pretty movie but am I missing something here? Or is everyone else?
For starters the reference to the KyoAni incident was so absolutely disrespectful and it was played for laughs at some point to boot. That shit had absolutely fuck all to do with fujimoto beyond the fact that he is an artist and watching him self-insert to paint his irrelevant ass as a hero in that situation as a fantasy is so, so fucking baffling that i lack…Translated from by -

one single 35mm viewing changed everything . Finchers movies are simply not visually made for digital releases they are far too stunning in a subdued way if that makes sense . You get so much more from a big screen using the original film. best movie of all time obviously

Kind of rushing this review right out of the theater just to get my thoughts down so apologies if its borderline illegible. Somewhat of an interesting concept with a blasé execution.
