I kinda want to give this a full star. Some ideas in the worldbuilding are ok, if developed further... but no... It feels like someone wrote their first world "fan-fic" and wanted to include EVERYTHING they came up with, like laws and marriage rituals, but fail to tell any of the interesting parts.

The dialogues are horrible, which makes the acting horrific as well, and no, I don't blame the actors. Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne, Channing Tatum are all great....…

Firstly I really liked this movie. It's for once not an origin story. We know how Peter Parker became Spider Man, we don't need to have it told again.

This version of Peter Parker is great. A true "simple" everyman high-schooler with all puberty problems and whatnot trying to act more adult when wearing the mask. And his relationship to Tony Stark is quite nice.

A few time some jokes are perhaps a bit too on the nose and deflating…

How can you have Fassbender, Cotillard and Shakespeare, quite good cinematography and still end up with this incoherent orange mess? You do realize you do not have to be pretentious af just because you are filming Shakespeare? And removing half his original script really doesn't see you well or help the audience understand hat the hell is going on.

Tldr: Watch the adaptation featuring Ian McKellen

NB: did the curse of the Scottish Play actually hit Fassbender? Has he made anything worthwhile since?
