this movie was mundanely haunting- it feels very real, very tangible, and it's isolating in a way that we can't quite grasp. i cannot believe there are people calling themselves "priscilla girls" and dressing like her... it feels disrespectful and just shows the lack of media literacy thats so common. this movie's costumes were incredible not just because they were gorgeous, which was not what i paid attention to even as someone who loves and values fashion so much, becauseβ¦

my family survived the holocaust. 6 minutes into the film the father sings a lullaby to the baby, and its the same lullaby my grandmother would sing. one of the children has the same name as my childhood teacher. holocaust or ww2 movies are so difficult for me to watch because of my familys history, but this one wasnt quite so hard. its a beautiful film in its ugliness. its detailed yet all the characters are flat and simple, likeβ¦
