  Another powerful performance from Jennifer Lawrence- but Red Sparrow was a lengthy and confusing story. I have no doubt there will be many people who look away from certain scenes or leave the viewing altogether, and I would understand. Don’t blink or stop listening for a moment, or you WILL miss something and become even more confused.

  Annihilation 2018

  In several different tones, the words that escaped my mouth were “what the fuck?” 

  Annihilation has stunning imagery, alien music, cringing moments, and one scene in particular that continually gave me shivers. The movie as a whole can be a conversation piece; as it has many different variations of what it could be about, therefore there could be something for everyone. Me, personally, I have no desire to see it again. But I respect it for what it is.

  mother! is an ultimate metaphor that has been churning my brain and stomach for days. A haunting and dark adaptation for the story been told for centuries, mother! is unforgiving and relentless in its storytelling- not for the faint of heart.

  The Nice Guys 2016

  ★★★½ Watched 17 Jul 2018

  “Nice guys always finish last” is a popular quote, but these Nice Guys are winners in my book. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling deliver topnotch performances and have a great chemistry between them- the result is a film filled with action, comedy, and smart-ass banter with a darker undertone of the dirty underbelly of politics. However, the overall feel of this movie kept a smile on my face throughout. Hilarious badassery ensues.
