I loved the Roxanne song before I watched the movie and I really wanted to like the movie but wtf this is just not my genre I guess.
Production is amazing, I just didn't like the story. I also felt that the choice to make an Indian musical with all white people to be a wild choice.
I really did love to see Nicole Kidman be silly, fun, and over the top dramatic. I found her extremely enjoyable to watch in the first half.

Really weird seeing what's basically a child in a grown woman's body get fked through their formative years, but somehow knowing that really doesn't take away how mesmerizing this movie is for me.
Balls to the wall and unapologetically maximinalist, this is definitely a fun ride of furious jumping from start to finish. I'll watch it again after blocking it out of my memory for a year or 2 so that it may surprise me then as it did now.
Really fun watch. I really liked the concept of multiples and their consciousnesses being saved and reused, and how that puts into question a person's humanity. Reminded me a bit of the game Soma, but much less bleak. I wish the movie would have gone deeper into exploring that concept.
I also really liked all the MAGA parallels, but I also wish they would have delved deeper than just surface level on that regard as well.
