Groundhog Day is a classic movie for classic people. It's the perfect film regarding 'feel-good' movies but also contains a grandiose amount of subtext to feed the minds both of philosophical, invigorating stems of ideas and writing ideology.
What I love in particular is Phil's arc. Generally, with anything monotonous, writers go for a transition into darkness or ego. That is, the longer they have to endure the repetitive, despondent environment, the more that they succumb to a desperate need…

La La Land 2016
La La Land takes everything about movies you love and then punches them into the stratosphere with you tied precariously to the back of its jet engine.
Very rarely do I ever bestow the alleluaic rating of 5/5 or 10/10 stars upon a film. For something for that to exist, I must find absolutely zero (tangible) faults within the film every time I watch it. Not only this, but I must feel a passion with every viewing. I must be reminded of why I love it. That's what this is.
In short, I don't just *like* La La Land, I fucking *love* La La Land.
