Every shot is made with intention and every character is developed intricately where they all eventually succumb to their own type of imprisonment, whether it be physical or metaphorical:
Keller - Imprisoned by vengeance and would go to any lengths to find his child. The ending represents how he is finally consumed by this constant thirst for revenge, being physically imprisoned where his daughter was, ironic actually.
The Birches - Imprisoned by inaction and the fact that they wait…
A very moving movie which had me feeling a sadness I’ve yet to have experienced from any typical sad movie before.
I rooted for Charlie the whole time. The ensemble cast ‘s acting was 10/10 and really made the film relatable, especially with how it shows the struggles of growing up during adolescence, and how it’s all about figuring out who you are.
Music is amazing as well, especially Asleep by the Smiths ez 5 stars

The last 20 minutes of the film released a crazy yet subtle plot twist. All of Charlie’s behaviours and outlooks on life made more sense than ever.
