The main thing I love about Nolan is his films are pure cinema and this might be his purest. Capturing the vastness of the universe, Interstellar transcends any film regularity. Its simply otherworldly and I got to watch it in IMAX! Such an ambitious feat in filmaking.

An beautiful narrative with a special performance from McConaughey. Definitely the most impressive combination of visual and practical effects I've seen resulting in one of the most immersive experiences. Further boosted by insane…

Cars hate is so underserved. Its got character development and so many great tropes throughout the film which culminate in a beautiful ending. Doc the old head trying to educate a rookie whilst rediscovering his passion through teaching. Paired with unconventional friendships and an arrogant lead character who learns compassion. The needle drops are brilliantly done and the soundtrack is one of the best in Pixar. Probably my favourite intro to a Pixar film. Also the Street racer scene is extremely cool.

However, OUATIH lacks consistency, some scenes are amazing whilst others are frankly boring. The film is elevated by…

I'd give it a 3.75 if I could. The film conventions are basically perfect with an impressive display of vfx, creating a fantastic sci-fi cinematic experience. Alongside this, the film raises existential questions and highlights the misogynistic consequences of society by depicting women as purely for the pleasure of men alongside an assistant acting against her artificial will. The constant ambiguity of reality and contrived life furthers thoughts of technological capabilities. Ryan Gosling nails this role by communicating strong emotion…
