  with each bizarre special effect (in a tennis sex movie?) and staccato cutting sequence guadagnino invents new ways to further degrade this braindead screenplay in which all subtext is text and all text is bold underline size 72. tennis is filmed more artfully on the average tennis channel tournament broadcast than it is here. the female lead has an emotional register composed of emojis and the two male leads have the combined charisma of corrugated cardboard. all these individually putrid elements are stitched together with the editing style of a 9-year-old child recently introduced to imovie. an unintentional comedy from start to finish.
