Although not as gripping or thought-provoking as I was expecting, Christian Bale's performance and dedication is definitely something out of this world.

Will watch again.

A meticulous and though-provoking essay on violence, both on an individual and social level. Perfectly crafted, visually grasping, a delight to the ears thanks to is originally chosen soundtrack, another proof of how genius Kubrick was; and of how adaptations might become more iconic than the original works.

I liked it much more than the first time I saw it a bunch of years ago; although I think I still have to understand it fully.

Will watch again.

Although its plot might sometimes feel a bit far-fetched or rushed, The Fisher King is a lovely film driven by a moving story and outstanding performances. All in all, its highly emotive journey about love and redemption greatly makes up for the few nitpicks one might stumble upon.
